Window Installation Without the Headaches

New windows should be an exciting upgrade, not an overwhelming one. At Safe Harbor Exteriors, we’ve built our entire process around making things easy for you, with clear communication, expert guidance, and zero pressure at every step. You’ll always know what’s coming next, and you’ll never feel pushed toward something that’s not right for your home.

We’re a family-owned company rooted in the Kansas City metro, and that shows up in how we treat every project. We partner with trusted manufacturers like Marvin and ProVia because great results start with great materials. Pair that with a company that cares about doing the job right, and the whole experience becomes a lot more enjoyable.

A Smoother Path to New Windows

Every home is different, so every project gets its own thoughtful approach. We take the time to understand what matters to you before anything else happens.

Here’s how our process unfolds, step by step:

Personalized Consultation

We’ll kick things off with a free, in-home consultation. This is simply a conversation about what you want, whether that’s lower energy bills, a refreshed look, or windows that finally open and close the way they should.

From there, we’ll assess your current windows, take precise measurements, and explain your options in plain terms so you know exactly what you’re getting before making any decisions. Our job is to give you the information you need and let you decide what’s best for your home.

Planning & Scheduling

Once you decide to move forward, we’ll put together a detailed proposal covering the full scope of your project, including product selections, any custom specifications, and a realistic timeline.

Scheduling is built around your life, not ours, so you can expect flexibility from the start. And if financing is part of the picture, we’ll go over the options available to qualified homeowners so you can plan with confidence.

Preparation & Site Protection

On installation day, our technicians will arrive on time and take a few minutes to review the plan with you. Inside the home, we’ll lay down drop cloths and move furniture as needed. Outside, we’ll take care to protect your landscaping and surrounding areas.

The goal is to leave things just as tidy as we found them.

Removal & Installation

Old windows are removed with precision to avoid damaging your walls or trim. Your new windows are then installed to the manufacturer's specifications, with close attention to sealing, insulation, and weatherproofing.

These details are what separate a window that looks good on day one from one that still functions beautifully years down the road.

Inspection & Walkthrough

Once the windows are in, we’ll handle all the finishing details. This includes trim, caulking, and any final adjustments to get everything looking exactly right.

Before we head out, we’ll review the work together, answer any questions you may have, and make sure everything exceeds your expectations. Your satisfaction is the last box we check before calling it a day.

Built on Proven Brands & Solid Materials

The quality of your installation is only as strong as the products behind it. That’s why we primarily work with Marvin and ProVia windows, offering fiberglass, wood, and vinyl options to suit a range of home styles. For projects with specific requirements, we also carry trusted brands like Pella, Windsor, and Wincore.

Beyond the windows themselves, we use premium hardware, insulation, and sealants on every job. Everything is installed to meet local Kansas City building codes, so your home is covered from both a performance and compliance standpoint.

Reviews

We talked to multiple companies while deciding who to use for the exterior of our home. Safe Harbor was transparent, fast, and offered James Hardie siding compared to all the other companies only offering vinyl. Safe Harbor was much more affordable than many of the other companies, who just wanted as much money as possible. We are extremely happy with our siding, soffit, fascia, flashing, gutters, windows and the guarantee that comes with their work. If there was any more work to be performed, without a doubt, we would chose safe Harbor again.

Safe Harbor installed James Hardie siding, soffits, and gutters. The install was meticulous and our home was left cleaner than when the company showed up. The level of detail in the install was beyond expectation! We are so pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the install team!
